“New Orleans Area Habitat for Humanity ReStore was once again selected to receive donated materials from this year’s Orgill Spring Dealer Market, held in February 2023 at the Morial Convention Center. Orgill, Inc. is the world’s largest independent hardlines distributor of hardware materials and had approximately 1100 exhibitors. 

Exhibitors donated 28 truckloads of materials to the ReStores. We anticipate over $125,000 in sales from the donated materials, which will finance the construction cost of a house in our new development Rising Oaks, a 150-home community on the Westbank. If New Orleans Area Habitat for Humanity had not received the donations, 308,000 pounds of materials would have been sent to the landfill.   

This donation requires a tremendous amount of coordination between Orgill, Morial Convention Center, GES and New Orleans Area Habitat for Humanity. We are extremely grateful for the continued support by these companies of our mission in the New Orleans area!”
