NEW ORLEANS – The New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center and NOLA ChristmasFest announce the first-ever Jolly in July event on July 30, 2022, at 6:30 p.m. This free, fun-filled event will feature several holiday-themed activities for the whole family.
Attendees can beat the summer heat by enjoying exclusive holiday-flavored snowballs created by some of the best stands in the city. Celebrity judges and attendees will vote for their favorite flavor and crown winners “Best Overall Snowball” and “Fan Favorite.” The holiday-themed flavors will be available as a free sample for all guests to try. In addition, guests may purchase full-size snowballs and other refreshments.
Holiday cheer continues with Swirly the Elf and Summer Santa visits, who will be ready to take photos throughout the event. Attendees can spread the holiday spirit at our Christmas Spirit Station, where they can write letters to veterans. All letters will be collected and provided to our partners after the event.
To round out the night, guests can “chill out” with Swirly and Summer Santa for a cool movie night screening of Disney’s “Frozen” at 7:45 p.m.
“We are thrilled to celebrate the Christmas spirit, as we spread positivity, fun and cheer throughout the city starting right here at the Convention Center,” said Michael J. Sawaya, Convention Center President. “Schools will be back in session before we know it, and we welcome kids of all ages to join us for Jolly in July summer fun.”
