The New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Career Expo invites you to take a look behind the scenes and discover the many careers that make the Convention Center possible. Explore our departments, meet the people who make it all happen, and learn about careers ranging from professional and administrative roles to technology, skilled trades, event operations, and more.
Whether you’re exploring future career options, considering a career change, or simply curious about what happens behind the scenes, the Career Expo is an opportunity to discover careers you may not have known existed; all under one roof.
This year’s Career Carnival theme brings a carnival-inspired experience to the Expo, with colorful displays, activities, prizes, and opportunities to explore the many careers that bring MCCNO to life.
Who can attend the Career Expo?
The Career Expo is open to the public. Anyone interested in learning more about careers at the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center is welcome. Whether you’re a seasoned professional, a student exploring career paths, a skilled tradesperson, considering a career change, or simply curious about how we operate, you’re invited to attend. No registration is required, and all are welcome.
Do I have to register for the event in advance?
No. Registration is not required to attend the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center Career Expo. However, we encourage you to register if you’d like to receive event updates and stay up to date on the latest Career Expo information. By registering, you’ll also be added to our text notification system to receive updates about future career opportunities at MCCNO.

Will there be on-the-spot interviews or job offers?
The Career Expo is an opportunity to explore careers at MCCNO, meet our teams, and learn about current and future opportunities. There may be opportunities for on-the-spot interviews or conversations with departments that have current openings. Attendees are encouraged to bring a résumé and connect with our teams about available opportunities. While the Career Expo is not focused on making same-day job offers, attendees may be invited to continue the hiring process or participate in a follow-up interview after the event.
What types of jobs will be represented?
You’ll find a wide variety of career paths, from administrative, professional, and technical roles to hands-on operations and skilled trades. The Career Expo represents the many departments and areas of expertise that work together to keep the Convention Center running.
Where should I enter the Convention Center?
The Career Expo will be held in the Rivergate Room at the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center.
For easiest access, please use the Julia Street Entrance, located at the intersection of Julia Street and Convention Center Boulevard.
Can I apply for jobs at the Expo?
Yes. Attendees will be able to visit the Application Station to view current openings and apply using a QR code.
Where should I park?
Parking options near the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center include:
- Hilton Whale Wall Lot: 728 Convention Center Blvd., New Orleans, LA 70130
- Lot F – MCCNO: 400 Calliope St., New Orleans, LA 70130
- Fulton Parking Garage: 901 Convention Center Blvd., New Orleans, LA 70130
Please Note:
A reduced parking rate of $10 with event validation is available at the Hilton Whale Wall Lot. If parking in this lot, please bring your parking ticket with you to the Career Expo. Parking validations will be distributed during the event and should be used with your parking ticket when exiting the lot. Please note that the $10 event validation applies ONLY to the Hilton Whale Wall Lot.
